Night City Nights – Insight

  I got the idea of offering an original radio with original songs, specially composed for Cyberpunk 2077. This proposition, taking the form of a mod, free and accessible to everybody, can be found on Nexus Mod.

   I deeply love CD Projekt Red, the Polish studio who developed The Witcher, The Witcher II and The Witcher III, as well as Cyberpunk 2077. The fact that the studio officially and actively supports modding is greatly appreciated.

  This radio’s purpose is to bring my personal touch, to offer a true extension to the game’s music. Almost like a “radio DLC” if I may say so.

   In a game like Cyberpunk 2077, we as players get totally immersed in V’s character – we become V. As such, I wanted to be able to listen to other genres of music (synthwave, pop punk, punk) when driving Johnny Silverhand’s Porsche throughout the giant Night City. So I said to myself: “Why not compose original tracks, tracks especially made for the game?”.

  The idea of sharing my music through the game makes me happy because I don’t see it like a promotional tool (even if it is), I think about how to create the content first and foremost, and if it pleases some people, then it will mean the approach was the right one and people felt my honesty. It’s priceless to me, what an honor would it be if it worked well!

   I hope this project will be appreciated by the players of Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a true privilege to be able to introduce this kind of content inside a game I love through modding.
